-
NCAA DI
With the new 2025–26 rules, some NCAA Division I sports (like football and men’s basketball) gained higher scholarship limits and new revenue‑sharing models, creating more overall aid but also more competition for roster spots.
-
NCAA SETTLEMENT
As part of the House v. NCAA settlement era, estimates suggest Division I athletes could receive over $2.3 billion per year in combined NIL and revenue‑sharing compensation, dramatically changing the value of being successfully recruited.
-
FULL AND PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Division I alone is estimated to offer about 138,500 full or partial athletic scholarships, spread across all sports—far fewer than the number of high school athletes dreaming of those spots.
